Tools

This page provides tools and guidance about how to incorporate gender analysis into research on public health emergencies and interventions, as well as how to create gender responsive preparedness plans. See below for the different resources included.

How to create a gender responsive pandemic plan

In this section you will find information about how to create a gender responsive pandemic plan, including a brief which aims to help decisionmakers address gender disparities in pandemic preparedness, response, and recovery plans.

Gender analysis matrices

The gender analyses matrices include evidence of the gendered nature of COVID-19 across multiple countries, as well as guidance on how to build your own gender analysis matrix. While the matrices are specific to COVID-19, they can be developed for any health or development project. A gender analysis matrix is a tool that you can use to systematically apply a gender lens to your research or intervention.
